People:
“Is there non-human sentient life? Are we alone in the universe?
Is there a being, of similar or *greater* intelligence than us?
We’re reaching out to contact and befriend those beings….is anyone reaching back?”
Me, holding a Bible:
“Guys imma blow your mind”
@SebaDoesntExist I have a theory that the Dreemurs couldn’t tell how to tell if a human is male/female when they found baby Kris so they just thought “we’ll use they/them until they can tell us what they are it’ll be fiiiine”
@gothoperas This is just me but it felt like 15 was written like he was no more in control of any situation than any companion would be. Always panicking at the wheel, so to speak. When Jodie shows up, she’s written to be in control here, so it’s like, “oh good finally it’s the Doctor”
This feels like that Pokémon struggle where every current generation is the worst one and every two generations ago was secretly the best one and it’s a never ending cycle
@timelesschild This is some important context. Tysm. There are a few other creative decisions I’d like to know more about….this is conjecture but I feel like Disney+ season 1 was mostly made of “rattling around in the back of the brain” episode ideas, conceptually weird to begin with
Okay fr though how did my favorite era of Doctor Who come out of the same guy as the Disney+ era?
Like, that’s not executive meddling anymore, that’s spite, that’s hatred of the show. What happened?? How is it the same guy??
Russell T Davies : "The scenes inside the Tardis are flim flam. I just want them to be there and step out, you wouldn't have an episode in a car either"
Meanwhile scenes in the Tardis:
@pk_kenzie “He turned into his own long lost fan-beloved girlfriend, and that was the cliffhanger season finale. The writer said, ‘now you HAVE to keep me on so I can resolve that!’ They did not.”
@JayExci Thrilled to have found your Twitter today because I swear I was like “gosh I wish I could hear Jay Exci’s thoughts on this”
You were like a canary in a coal mine
When you nostalgia bait so hard, that you write yourself so deeply into a corner, that Doctor Who goes on indefinite hiatus for the second time in its existence
