🚨 BREAKING | Kuki National Army Financier and Police amoung Four Arrested After Gunfire Rocks Medical College in Churachandpur, Manipur.

- Deepening nexus between Kuki Terrorists and state actors alarms officials.

" In a significant development that has raised fresh concerns over law and order in Manipur’s
conflict-hit Churachandpur district, India’s security forces have apprehended [four individuals]
in connection with an unprovoked firing incident near the Girls’ Hostel of the Medical College on Wednesday evening.

The accused include a Sub-Inspector of Manipur Police, Seikhotinlal, a known financier of the Kuki National Army (KNA), and two police constables, a revelation that has deeply alarmed both civil society and law enforcement ranks in the region.

According to officials, the accused fired multiple rounds at the gate of the Girls’ Hostel around 4 p.m.
on April 23, before fleeing the scene.
Although no injuries were reported, the brazen nature of the attack and the proximity to a women’s residential
facility have intensified public outrage and institutional concern.

The arrests were made following coordinated efforts by the Assam Rifles, state civil police,
and other law enforcement agencies, which launched a cordon and search operation in the
Churachandpur district headquarters based on complaints from local residents and college authorities.

The arrested individuals were handed over to the Churachandpur District Police, and a formal
investigation into the motive, affiliations, and operational intent of the accused is underway.
Sources suggest that the involvement of state law enforcement personnel and
a KNA financier points to a deepening nexus between armed insurgent outfits
and institutional actors in the region.

As the investigation progresses, questions are also being raised about the state’s commitment
to restoring justice and order in the hills, especially given the growing distrust between the
tribal communities and the administration.

Further updates are awaited as officials work to ascertain the full extent of the operational
network behind the attack and its implications for the already fragile security architecture in the region. "
