@autosport What about, if it’s your first season in F1, or you’ve never won a race, you get a 1hr practice…. If 2nd season or race winner, you get a 15min warm up, then all straight into Qualifying!

@autocar I can’t wait for the day the data is fed back into the rule makers, it’ll show >90% of people turn off these systems. There must be a big market emerging to code it all off permanently? Genuinely it would put me off owning a new car having to disable all the systems per key on

@colinwalker79 Disagree. VW are just eventually paying the price of Dieselgate (lost cash reserves) + poor quality cars (infotainment saga) + poor market decisions (most ID range non desirable). All of which, is linked to poor management and direction. What’s their identity now?

@Synchronicity34 So what I said then… you extract crude oil to make plastics, you get fuels. Becoming a byproduct, as per the context of your question, what will happen with all these fuels one day. I think it’ll go to power stations to replace stop gap coal at peak grid demand.

@tillathenun Great video, I wasn’t aware of the HEVA thing (If I got that right). Really needs to be more of this content on YT to help consumer confidence. Repair cost of ~1k is achievable, bat swap at 10’s thousands isn’t. Same on spec, people need to know heatpumps & liquid cooled packs

@SteveFowler Irrelevant with ZEV mandate in place. But also because the market will decide if they want BEV, hopefully by ‘30 the tech will mature to be viable. What wont, is the physical issues of terraced/tower block/apartment housing.. paying 10x more to charge than home chargers

@RoryB96 @EURO2024 @bookingcom Had a similar exp in Manchester before, apartment rented turned out to be some grotty student accom, front door barely shut and the lift wasn’t working (5th floor). @bookingcom refused to help, stayed in a nearby hotel at our expense. Avoided b/com since, tell others the same

@MattFEdwards @jticoharrison Just a casual 5k to spend then to get it anywhere close to an M level. Essentially my conclusion, so I sold mine and moved on. Still miss the engine though..
