"Just don't play it" does not address the gravity of the situation.
It's a billion dollar fuck-you to the soul of the original.
It's the latest premier emblem of creative regression and spiritual decay.
We need a bigger crash.
And I need to get gud. My inability to fight the decay makes me rage.

Hey Twitter Parents!
Got a genuine question:
When I grew up, it was totally normal having to pay a premium price tag for video games. I remember having to save all my allowance for almost a full year in order to finally purchase Street Fighter 2 Turbo for like a thousand schillings back in the day - which right now feels equivalent to around 100 USD.
But the gaming landscape has changed a lot over the past 20 years. Mobile Gaming became a thing, games being 'free' while actually being financed mostly through MTX became a thing, etc.
So... if you have kids ranging from 6-20 years old, what's their stance on what games ought to cost?
Are you consistently buying 60-70$ games for them?
Or are they mostly spending their time on games that are 'free'?
How regularly are your kids buying Microtransactions?
@rfleury@ThePrimeagen The cost/benefit ratio is obviously insane but presentation time is a less desirable target than real wallclock time in principle.
