Greg Jennett q’s Palestinian Action Group’s Josh Lees on antisemitic remarks at their recent rally but is left redfaced & grilled for not calling out his prev guest who referred to Palestinians as “animals”
Lees “You didn’t challenge him on that interestingly”#AfternoonBriefing
@AugersMonster There hasn’t been much absenteeism or cases lately, I think most of the kids if not all have had it. Our school had book week parade, elderly grandparents, parents, the lot crowded into hall & classroom - unmasked, with exception of a handful of elderly.
@somewherein84 I had something similar, an awesome mechanic resolved to sniff the petrol and said it smelled weird, as it turned out I had fuel contamination.
@DrShaneRRR Sorry to hear. On the flip side, it’s exhausting hearing everyone tell me I’m worried about nothing. Apparently everyone that’s had it is perfectly fine…
Must,must listen for everyone…
“…infectious diseases don’t allow us to only think of ourselves..”
Brilliant message from @VictorianCHO to those that think more of themselves and ignore their collective responsibility to the rest of the community
@DanielAndrewsMP Thanks for your help to curb the pandemic, my 8yo is the only kid in his entire primary school wearing his mask like a shield. My heart goes out to him for acting responsibly, but it is unfair that he bears it alone.
@MaryAnneThomas How naive it is to think that the latest communication ‘encouraging’ mask wearing is going to do anything. You have explicitly adopted a model that has been proven to fail in terms of changing peoples health behaviour at a very critical time.
@DanielAndrewsMP Reducing transmission does not mean we have to have lockdowns. Proper N95 masks help protect healthcare workers in the hospital, why do you refuse to mandate it for other indoor situations - offices, schools, public transport?
@AugersMonster @Muminmelb I had to drop everything to pick up the kids so that they wouldn’t starve through wet/inside lunch - because they understand the risks of taking off the mask.
@AugersMonster@rivkhali5@DanielAndrewsMP@VictorianCHO Ours has had most of this week off due to a close contact kid sitting beside him on Monday. Fortunate we did because cases were reported for his class last night. So whilst the close contact can go school and spread their germs, we have to iso to avoid them.
