I have awful news...
Sadly, 4 people have passed away after widespread flooding in Kentucky collapsed buildings, flooded roadways, and trapped people in their homes.
Please pray for these people, this looks absolutely horrific.
The Storm Prediction Center has maintained the slight risk (level 1/5) for those along and north of the BG/WK Parkways.
This does include a low-end tornado risk for another round of thunderstorms this afternoon!
Low-top supercells look very possible in the afternoon, especially in West KY! Timing looks to be 3-8PM.
We will keep you updated throughout the day! #KYwx
Data is showing a potential MCS complex to move through west Kentucky later this afternoon/evening. The SPC has upgraded to a slight risk for this threat!
Damaging winds will be the main risk in West KY!
More updates as needed this afternoon! #KYwx
🚨 Flood Watch for Central Kentucky
A Flood Watch is in effect (Ares shaded in Green) through Tuesday morning as multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms bring 1–3 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts possible. Excessive rainfall may lead to flash flooding of creeks, streams, low-lying areas, and flood-prone roads.
Never drive through flooded roadways.
*State of the Atmosphere*
Just after Noon hour Thermodynamics have really increased over SoKY surging N out of MiddleTN. Satellite shows the AM clouds lifting North toward Parkways. CAPE convergence b’dary draped S of Parkway ~ 1000-1500 as dT’s are now in Low 70s. LLJ at 25kts.
May 25, 2011:

Erin Brockovich has launched a website and has begun tracking all data centers in America and logging resident complaints
In just 1 week it’s already logged 1,690 resident complaints
For this who don’t remember
Erin Brockovich was the paralegal responsible for winning out a case against PG&E, Hinckley in California, because their wastewater runoff was seeping into rural areas and creating a lot of health issues for, for the surrounding neighborhoods
That case brought in a $333 million settlement that went to the families affected by the situation because a lot of them either had staggering medical bills due to their tap water was no longer safe
So why is this important, well residents all over America are reporting their tap water and river water is being heavily polluted by data centers
Her map of data centers is new, she just launched it
The website features an interactive US map showing operational, under-construction, and proposed AI data centers, overlaid with community-reported complaints
Residents can submit reports with details, photos, and locations. Within days of launch, it received a surge of submissions over 1,600 in the first week, and reports of 1,800+ from 47 states shortly after
Common Resident Complaints Being Logged
- Water usage
- Raising utility bills for residents
- Noise pollution: Constant 24/7 humming from fans, generators, and cooling systems disrupting sleep, daily life, and wildlife.
- E-waste from frequent hardware upgrades, pollution including PFAS concerns
JUST IN:
The @nwslouisville Confirmed of a EF-0 Tornado last night in Morgantown (Butler County) with winds up to 85mph. Damage was scene at Final Finish Body Shop. Damage length was only .32 miles

Looking at radar and mesoscale analysis I think this area in Kentucky is at the highest risk to see isolated severe weather this afternoon.
This area is building in 1,000-1,500 J/CAPE as the warm front advances northward. Not a high risk but there will be an isolated tornado threat #KYwx
We are still monitoring the potential for severe weather today. The SPC has placed much of the state under a low tornado threat. The primary hazards will be damaging winds and isolated heavy rainfall, though an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The best chance for storms will be between 1 PM and 9 PM EDT.
SICKENING: AOC Just showed off the Georgia drinking water from Meta's AI Data Centers. Thank you @AOC:
"This is the current drinking water in Morgan County, Georgia. Right after a data center was constructed, the metadata center was constructed, the only difference between the clean water and this was that data center. I have another one as well. So this wasn't just one well, these wasn't just one family's situation. This is what the drinking water now looks like next to that data center. And I think both of us can agree that neither one of these things are drinkable. These families now have to ship, in a rural area, have to ship water to their house in order to cook and bathe themselves."
As we get into the afternoon today, a weakening line of storms will be approaching west KY from MO/IL. This line is already faster than data indicates this AM.
We will have to watch radar closely to see how long this complex stays together before collapsing. Damaging winds will be main risk IF these storms can hold to I-65!
East of I-65 looks DRY! #KYwx
Still tracking our storm chance on Saturday as we build in high CAPE Saturday afternoon. There is also a chance for storms in the morning along I-64.
Storms look most likely in the afternoon as a weak shortwave will spark some thunderstorms. A couple of stronger storms look possible with mainly small hail and gusty winds.
DOES not look like a wash-out but some storms look likely on Saturday!
