After 90 minutes of vague explanations for what “limited food” means for my 15 hour flight with @united they finally say this. They knew 7 hours before the flight and no info in the app. Wonder how many people will board with no idea #airlinefail
We’re hiring! I have two new GIS analyst positions on my team and am excited to start the recruitment process. The position title is Enterprise GIS & Data Analyst when you look for the posting on the careers page #GISjobs https://t.co/kHAwPKoQJz
We have started our opioid wastewater testing again after the break due to COVID-19. It provides us with a picture of what is happening in the city and I am glad to have that data resource back and available for the city to use #wastewater#opioids
We’ve partnered with ASU Biodesign Institute and their researchers’ groundbreaking science to analyze wastewater and provide a way to understand community health and narcotics consumption.

Tempe has used #wastewater data to support policy and program decisions for COVID-19 and its exciting to see #opioid testing coming back after a pause due to COVID-19. If you are curious about how the program works, here's a great overview of the program https://t.co/GrRH3u13l8
Data literacy is for everyone. I love working for @Tempegov where they support and invest in developing #data skills across the city. Looking forward to getting this work started
“I want to make data literacy at a foundational level as common as cybersecurity training—and required for everyone from the mayor to the city council to the boots on the ground.”

The work we have done with @BloombergDotOrg City Data Alliance was key in giving me the time and support to do this work. I admit, I had to stop myself from trying to high five council members after the resolution passed #datadriven#WWC#leadwithdata
Our Innovator of the Week, @StephDeitrick of @TempeGov, led the way on a recently approved citywide evaluation policy. It’s a product of the city’s participation in the @BloombergDotOrg City Data Alliance. Read about it here:

Exciting examples of digital twins and how they can be used to humanize cities. Now to wrap my head around how something like this could be used by Tempe to work on our most pressing problems #CityLab2022#DigitalTwins
"You show me someone who has 100% success record, I'll show you someone who is not taking enough risk." great advice from @MikeBloomberg at #citylab2022
Excited to be in Amsterdam for @CityLab. Having great conversations with a diverse group of city leaders and researchers and learning about the innovative work of cities. Love hearing all of the people talking about the importance of good data
Virtually attending an uncertainty visualization workshop happening in Germany. Midnight is too late or too early to be thinking about uncertainty, public policy and decision support.
