📽️REVIEW: "Black Phone 2" (2025) This feels like a completely different beast. The menace of the Grabber returns, now haunting Gwen in terrifying dream-sequences drenched in vintage horror style. The snowy camp adds isolated dread, and Finney’s trauma runs much deeper this time around. It’s scarier, more layered, and emotionally weightier. A sequel that honors the original while boldly charting its own, darker path. Rated 086/100
🎥 REVIEW: “Train Dreams” (2025) A film that snags you with a story as real as life itself. The set up is early 20th century America and all of its growing pains. You genuinely care about the characters, so you feel what they feel. Unfortunately, the story remains true to its foundation in that it stays the course. Life, its struggles, and ultimately, its realism. Loved it. Rated 086/100
🎥 REVIEW: “Keeper” (2025) I don’t know where I’m at with this one. It has some really great elements, but it falls so short on so many others. Looking back, I feel like I should have been able to predict the outcome. I don’t typically try and do that as I like to just let the film hit me how it hits me, but this one feels obvious. Or it’s possible that I don’t understand the film at all. Rated 076/100
