A very interesting interview with Johns Hopkins Professor, Paul Ferraro, discussing how the human psyche might actually be one of our largest barriers when it comes to combatting climate change. Check it out! https://t.co/Oj3AhzKWKQ
@laurenbarnesz I'm inspired by all that you do to reduce your carbon footprint and lead a more sustainable life! What are some small changes that students can make in their lives to reduce their carbon footprint? #EM203
@LaurierGreen has some excellent initiatives to help reduce Laurier's carbon footprint! Do you have any suggestions of some changes that students can make in their own lives to reduce their carbon footprint? #EM203
#ClimateChange impacts #FoodProduction.
#Agriculture needs to:
1) adapt crop growing practices to water scarcity/excess,
2) ‘decarbonize’ through #ClimateMitigation measures
that reduce GHG emissions & enhance water availability.

Regenerative agriculture can be a key tool for fighting climate change, but do we have the tools to measure the impact of individual farms? Read here: https://t.co/tetNXHDw9m.
Africa is particularly vulnerable to climate change—partly because it is already struggling to feed its fast-growing population https://t.co/8vWPF1CIJJ
The @FAO shines a spotlight on overlooked and underutilized crops, which can:

The Impact Imperative for Sustainable Development.
This solution to sustainable policy development is centred around social impact investing. It highlights specific actions for 4 key areas involved in sustainable policy development. Great idea from the OECD! #SpreadTheWord
Interesting perspective on how the potential mass death from COVID19 might help us live more intelligently and be better prepared to tackle climate change catastrophes.
COVID-19 deaths may increase day by day but that’s not where the terror lies. The true terror is mass death and that could become reality if we don’t tackle climate change, Heather Mallick writes. https://t.co/0CnOM6R1FN
Reducing our emissions is essential to combatting climate change. Check out this infographic created by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) for some more details!
@Em203_THoogaars Hey Thomas! I'm glad that this course has led you to multiple self reflections of your learning experience. It is important to evaluate our own learning so that we can become better!
@em203_dylanf Me too Dylan! I have learned so much already and can't wait to see what else there is to learn about the digital age and its impact on society :)
@OnkarJ1 I agree that the digital age has changed the way we gather information! It is more readily available than ever, and people are able to learn about everything. We must also consider the negative impacts of unverified information on the internet!
@EM203JTait I enjoyed learning about that too! Distractions definitely have a big impact on learning. Learning about this is helpful in developing our own study habits as well
@em203madikaiser I agree that social media allows us to do many things that we weren't able to before! Learning what is going on in the world is especially important as globalization increases and we are all impacted by each other.
