Congrats to SEA-Tech High School for launching its SparkLab, a high-tech accelerator space where students can learn coding, AI, 3D printing, app development, and more. We're the only district in SE NC to offer this incredible learning opportunity.

@ibramxk .@ibramxk Thanks for sharing your thoughts with local media. Will share this with other 6. 9/1 is the set date for public mtg. Hoping to bring good questions.

[Steph Walker @StephWalkerILM]

@ibramxk .@inramxk thank you for paying attention to what’s going on here.

[Steph Walker @StephWalkerILM]

@ibramxk .@ibramxk Hearing has been set for Aug 3rd. Would very much appreciate a discussion beforehand. This is challenging, unprecedented (here), and surreal. https://t.co/xBuyIFA6zE

@ibramxk I'm a NHCS board member and I'm vehemently against banning Stamped. It's wrong & un-American to ban books & paves the way for subsequent removals from ind. & small groups to censor voices of Americans w/ different exp. & views. NHC folks NEED to understand how dangerous this is.

[New Hanover County Schools @NewHanoverCoSch]

How do you get to be ranked 18th in the state in literacy out of 100+ districts? NHCS doesn't wait until 3rd grade to ensure students read on grade level.

You start at the beginning, and you invest in early childhood education.

@RoyCooperNC Welcome the change. Ready to get to work for NHC and NC. Future’s so bright.😎

[Steph Walker @StephWalkerILM]

@abreezeclayton Congrats!! We absolutely need help in NHC. Looking forward to talking strategy about our future down here. Happy to chat about that anytime. Have a lot to say!

NourishNC, Food Bank CENC, and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard always need donations. I was able to give to Nourish for this program. Please do if you are able!❤️

[NHCS Student Support Services @NHCSStSupport]

We are so thankful to distribute 500+ snack packs from Nourish NC to students in our Summer Ignite program!

Come see me! I’ll be helping to stuff the bus at Walmart Porters Neck from 3-5pm on August 14th (bring supplies!)🙂

[New Hanover County Schools @NewHanoverCoSch]

Stuff the Bus through our friends at Communities In Schools of Cape Fear! With two schools already in session, we are looking forward to welcoming the rest back for the 2022-23 school year. #nhcschat #nhcsleadingtheway

We believe that diversity creates a stronger learning environment for all, and that every student and staff has the right to a safe and inclusive space to learn and grow.
Come as you are, be who you are. NHCS is proud to accept all staff and students just as they are.

[Samantha Keller @samanthavkeller]

We know how to have a summer book study at @WrightsboroE #lovewhereyoulive #lovewhereyouteach

[Myrtle Grove MS @MyrtleGroveMS]

Some of our Myrtle Grove students along with many others had the opportunity to explore Swift coding and other digital tools at last week's camp, New Hanover County Can Code. It was a lot of fun to see all of their creativity at their showcase! #MGgators #nhcschat #NHCScancode

[Pete Buttigieg @PeteButtigieg]

Can’t believe we even have to say this, but: if you just went to the Senate floor and blocked benefits for veterans exposed to toxic burn pits while serving our country in a war zone, you are wrong.

[Deanna Leake @DeannaLeake]

Fun, sun, icecream & new friends! We were so excited to have the opportunity to welcome our littlest SeaStars, & their families, to our sweet little island school during our Kindergarten Play Date! #5StarDifference @CBElementary @NewHanoverCoSch

[Steph Walker @StephWalkerILM]

Couldn’t have said it any better! New Hanover Co deserves School Board candidates that don’t further marginalize our students. We will not let hate win!

[Mallory McMorrow @MalloryMcMorrow]

Senator Lana Theis accused me by name of grooming and sexualizing children in an attempt to marginalize me for standing up against her marginalizing the LGBTQ community...in a fundraising email, for herself.

Hate wins when people like me stand by and let it happen. I won't.

[Jason Kander @JasonKander]

This is some bullshit right here.
