Surviving suicide, or dying by it, isn’t a matter of strength, or lack thereof. It’s about carrying a burden, which over time & w/o help, will continue to grow, eventually crushing you. Survival comes from your ability to get help from within yourself or by outside means.
I cried because I couldn't change what happened. I cried because I miss him so much. I cried because I didn't know what to do to help him. It's been 3 years and seven months. Will it ever get easier? I am tired. My head hurts. #childloss#grievingparents#suicide
I am sitting outside in the dark. I lit a candle at the little memorial I made for Stephan. I started thinking about his life. How difficult it was to raise him. The issues he always seem to have. How I still feel that I wasn't equipped to raise him. Then I just sat here crying.
@MikeJMele I do that all the time. But by the time I know what I want to say, they are already on a different subject. I have to really trust someone to relax and just talk.
Today I heard a sad story of a suicide. Another suicide, another child that couldn't bear the pain anymore. How many stories of bullying, social media, peer pressure etc? Our lives are killing us.
