Our prospective authors often ask, “How long should an ASQ paper be?” The answer is that we don’t have firm page limits, but your page count is still important. 🧵
Planning to submit a paper to ASQ? Make sure to read our guidelines for data transparency, covering both quantitative and qualitative research: https://t.co/pCzwcnVakj
@NeilLewisJr That’s unfortunate. Thank you for sharing this. I hope the reviewer sees your tweets and realizes that next time they should treat the authors—who are perhaps not feeling great this evening—with more respect.
@NeilLewisJr At Administrative Science Quarterly we edit reviewer comments when we feel the tone isn’t quite right. And select reviewers/editorial board members for being helpful *and* respectful. Any journal could do this.

For now, I'll just say Michael is the best scholar, mentor, & colleague I've ever had the pleasure of working alongside. ANY school would be lucky to have him. This sends an appalling signal, especially to jr POC scholars studying racism.
@mwkraus My take-away is that you are doing research that is societally important and impactful, and this kind of research can make some folks uncomfortable. If anything, this unfair decision serves as a strong signal that you are a scientist who has decided to do research that matters.
I wrote an essay for TIME about the decision to give my kids my last name, and about some of the many ways society devalues women. https://t.co/eMESsGGR3q
@bruce_arthur@AChandra_TO re: cherry-picking, can you please identify studies/evidence that are missing from the piece, so we can gain a more complete understanding of the consequences of school closings (whenever you have time)?
@minzlicht If Habs wins the cup, at this point, they should just put Leafs colours on the tower. Blue and white. No red. Or, maybe, just to fuck with everyone, Calgary Flames colours.
