@sean_murphy50 really loved Born a Crime and Red Rising! also relevant: did you know there's a Red Rising board game? haven't played it myself yet, though
Obvious conclusions: we like mahjong and play more games Fri-Sun. You can also see that our data acquisitions specialist (my sister) went on vacation from June-July, hence the missing data. There is no significant relationship between BGG rating and number of plays. #dataviz
What I do when I have too much time on my hands: look at my family's 2021 board game data! Used data from #tidytuesday (2019-03-12) and manually curated BGG data for games published before 1950. These represent unique days of play (so we played mahjong on 8 different days).
Breaking my Twitter hiatus to say that I just presented my thesis seminar! So happy and grateful for all my friends, colleagues, and family members who made it to the presentation.
I've had a lot of fun participating in #TidyTuesday this past year. If you're interested in learning more about using R for data science, I'd definitely recommend checking it out! #r4ds
