@prodEXIlED @DashingDavidYT Not it at all. I grew up on the OG. Enjoy the new combat well enough but wish they would have been more faithful to the original and it's combat. We've been dreaming of a remake since like 2005 so to get what we got after 20 years of dreaming is very disheartening to some of us.

@Luzbel789 I'm sorry I used the words turn based. Jesus lol. I consider old ATB to basically be turned based because it basically is. It doesn't work in the remake because they designed it differently. In a way that has slowly lost me over the years.

@AdamTuckerUK I remember the first time I played FFVII and it turned into a horror game in Shinra HQ. Then all you find is his sword. It was so badass. The mystery of him is one of the best parts of the game.

I will play it and probably be underwhelmed and disappointed yet again. Square used to be the best in the business when it came to RPGs but that ship sailed 20 years ago. Unfortunately nostalgia will keep me coming back to them in hopes they'll figure it back out.
