I've released We Built a Dragon.
It’s not a long book. But it’s a real one.
It's available for preorder now on Amazon and will be available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Paperback on September 30th.
I wrote it for grieving kids.
For grieving parents.
In fact, for anyone who's grieving and needs to believe that grief can transform.
And for anyone who has ever tried to build hope out of broken pieces.
Go check it out. It will make you believe again.
If you need to.
My son read it.
He laughed.
He cried.
He understood.
And then he said:
“Dad, you’re my second favourite author. I prefer this to Harry Potter.”
I’ll take it.
@AntoineMonks Not really. I just logged in on my laptop to see if anything was happening or anyone had messaged me. X is still uninstalled on my phone.
Apparently I've been on X now for 12 months. In that time I've met some wonderful people, had some great conversations and been truly inspired by what others have created.
I've released a book, had some truly heart warming reviews of it and contributed to an anthology.
I'll be stepping back from X for a while though now. I find myself scrolling and wasting time when I could be writing or reading books.
I'll still check in from time to time, but I'll be removing the app from my phone so I can only consciously jump on when on my PC.
Feel free to DM me if you want my attention for something.
Happy New Year everyone!
@CaptainCons It was also the right thing to do for the actors. They have lived and breathed this show for 10 years, starting as kids. Allowing them to process this and gain closure on screen was a mature, responsible and clever thing to do.
@bedrot_barbie @MutenRoshi31 She was stood there unaffected by the hedgehogs. This was the clue that Mike picked up on when the speakers caused interference at the graduation ceremony. Ergo, she was an illusionary Eleven.
@PaulTassi@Forbes Perfectly reasoned. Also explains why the upside down had been so empty of threats all season 5. End game was already in full swing with the creation of the beast.
Winter's Hiding - still 99p till the weekend for the ebook.
The story begins on New Year's Eve 1800.
And New Year's Day 1801 begins very strangely indeed...
