Because feminism is THE arena for female intrasexual competition. Feminists want power to control and suppress the fertility of other women. Rowling doesn't see this. She believes feminism is a proximate expression of liberal values when actually it's an ultimate expression of female tyranny over others. This is expressed in feminisms primary goal to "dismantle patriarchy" rather than help women. Rowling has a blind spot here. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.

Ayn Rand described this problem long ago. The right does write — it simply does not write for a living. It is busy doing things: building cars that drive themselves, raising cattle, laying bridges, guarding borders. The right judges a position by its result. In work where the result is the only verdict, you cannot ignore reality because someone somewhere wrote that morality and the spirit point the other way.

So people of the left concentrate in the liberal arts. Actors, writers, professors. They can depict anything. They can invent any reality they like. The hero has learned nothing, made every conceivable mistake and driven the whole thing into a dead end? No matter. A prophecy chose him. And when he is finally cornered, a bird arrives with a sword, and its tears heal the wound.

The misfortune of Western civilization is not that such people talk. It is that the West learned to give their many declarations priority over the rare words of people who have actually built something.
