Just leaving the Jay Johnson clinic in Boulder. It’s great soul food to be around coaches that want to get better at their positive impact on their athletes. You’re a reflection of your friends. And this group provided ample opportunity to grow.
Do your best to catch up with an old teammate this week. Just check in, surprise them, and ask how they’re doing. You’ll never make better friends than the guys you sweat and towed the line with. That bond runs deep.
There’s something special about distance runners. The ones that learn to respect the challenge and honor the fight become warriors….. in life. Hire them. They don’t know how to quit.
