My back just HURTS

I hurt my back real bad today while deadlifting. I (very) humbly asked the guy next to me to help me put away my weights, explaining that I hurt my back real bad.

He says "I've been there, no problem!" and proceeds to hold the bar up while suggesting I get the plates.
