@jamie_murray Perhaps but £29.15 for a flexible return within 1 month if you have a network railcard or £44.20 without one are obviously much better value!

@scottygb @iainmartin1 Assuming you know when you plan to come back why would you go for open return? Just select what train you want to come back on. The direct train from london is only £144 and coming back should be much cheaper. Train strikes and disruption 1st-4th feb might be bigger problem.

@Peston @bbclaurak Actually no its not. It implies a higher cost of borrowing on new debt being issued and rewards new buyers of existing bonds with higher yields. The UK has the highest average bond duration of any government in the world so is least exposed to temporary increases in bond yields.

@eiecampaign Not to let facts get in the way but....around 80% of their profit comes from their energy networks business, they have €37.4bln of net debt which needs profits to support it, not to mention where do you think the billions they invest come from? The shares are down 25% this year.
