@alexchristy17 I usually like Maher but letting Murphy slide on equivocating a vote by the incumbent to fund ICE to the REAL character issues involving Platner is a bad look.
@ellymayeusa@jubileemedia@RubinReport 💯 “Being right” is pursued over actual knowledge and understanding. No attempts to persuade others with well-formed, logical arguments. It’s all bashing others over the head with talking points and claiming “victory” or that they were “destroyed” or some other hyperbole.
@DonaldCobb573@RobbyRoadsteame@Savsays Whistles, etc are generally protected under free speech activity BUT use in extreme proximity to someone can be considered assault if it risks damaging hearing or is used to intimidate. 1A doesn’t protect activity that crosses into threats, intimidation, or harmful contact.
@Suzierizzo1 This change was being reported as early as January. It was nothing that anyone who took a few minutes to actually look up polling information should have been surprised about.
@JHaidak@CollinRugg@smitbill26 When you seek medical care and the provider is a Physician Associate (PA) or a Nurse Practitioner (NP) would you consider yourself their client or patient? Those are both Masters level degrees as well.
@slantchev@RogerMarshallMD 40% is an anomaly in HEALTH INSURANCE industry. At worst its fraud where middlemen sign up ppl w/o their knowledge & the subsidy $$ is going directly to insurance companies. At best ppl are signing up for duplicative coverage bc its no cost & is a sub-optimal use of tax payer $$
@ChrisMurphyCT “Trump’s premium increases”?!? A ridiculous statement. This is why people dislike politicians. You twist things so much. Insurance companies are to blame and you just want to keep paying the ransom demands over and over. While the ACA did some good it also created this mess.
@SenBlumenthal What I’m hearing is “Because you refuse to address this one problem right now while I stomp my feet, I will shut down everything and thus cause numerous other problems and then blame you”
@moniqueo59@PSchilaty@RadioGenoa Here is some reading for you. On the World Economic Forum Global Gender Gap Index 23 of the bottom 25 countries listed are Muslim majority. This is just ONE example of many. Still think men and women are treated as equals by their culture?
@FatherChrisVor1@RadioGenoa When taken in isolation, it might be believable this one gesture is benign and not indicative of lack of equality. BUT when viewed in totality, it is obvious that the culture does not view women as equals. 23 of the bottom 25 countries listed on the WEF GGGI are muslim majority.
@PhattyPatty@JeffGoldklang@AOC I don’t think the drive to do better is really the point here. I think it’s more about AOC giving the impression that you can’t have an opinion unless you’re a “winner”.
@EYakoby “It goes to show what happens when you have segments within our communities that are using fear and hate to mobilize their base” said right after she made a statement sowing fear of white men.
@cjpearson Ignoring the insinuation that he’s speaking to illegal aliens, I think it’s funny to hear “go get a gun” from the side that has almost never promoted gun ownership as a means to defend yourself from actual criminals wishing you harm but instead now promotes it to use against ICE
@HawleyMO You cite GLOBAL average for Amazon workers. Given wage disparity between wealthier countries (US) and those with with lower cost of living (India and China) this isn’t reflective of people YOU represent as Senator. The average US Amazon worker salary + benefits is much higher.
@Hackwar@GuyVincent99@Zakka_Jacob There isn’t a skill gap. Those workers were imported bc it’s cheaper to hire contract labor. Even cheaper for offshore contract labor but that doesn’t mean companies will move jobs offshore. If the job could be done by offshore chances are in most companies, it would be already.
@tmorello The govt subsidizing higher education caused the cost to skyrocket. Another problem from our govt. They can all be problems at the same time. Illegal immigration, a crappy tax code, and cost of higher ed. Calling out more problems doesn’t make others go away. The list is endless
