@Jesss_Chels Jess, very tough. My first wife died had to come home from the hospital and tell my 5 and 3 year old sons.
Kids are amazingly resilient. And at 12 very switched on. I really think you need to be honest and straightforward as difficult as that seems. Hiding it will bite later.
