Religious understanding extraordinaire, Master Theologian.
@BubbyAxelrod@OhThats_Good My theology that Jesus is not God and is only the Son of God is sound. He is the great high priest which means he is between God and sinful man by being the son of God and a perfect man.
@BubbyAxelrod@OhThats_Good Gal 1:1 does not support the trinity. It states that God raised Jesus from the dead. Since Jesus died he can not be God. God does not die. And there is no mention of the holy spirit there.
@BubbyAxelrod@OhThats_Good Every scripture that is used to support the trinity is spurious or controversial. You have nothing.
However, I have John 3:16 which Jesus states that he is the son of God. No controversy there.
@BubbyAxelrod@OhThats_Good I don't care about the Granville Sharp rule when you have every other letter that Paul wrote starting with God and Jesus, two individuals.
Look at Rom 1:8 "I thank my God through Jesus Christ"
Dump your rules because they don't work.
@BubbyAxelrod@OhThats_Good The problem with Heb 1:8 is that Heb 1:9 says "You have loved righteousness
and hated lawlessness;
this is why God, your God,
has anointed you"
If Jesus is called God, then how does he have a God that anoints him? That would not make him sovereign.
@BubbyAxelrod@OhThats_Good 1 Cor 1:1 "Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God"
2 Cor 1:2 "peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ."
Rev 7:10 "“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb"
Titus 2:13 is not calling Jesus God
@BubbyAxelrod@OhThats_Good Titus 2:13 "of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,"
Two people. God and Jesus. Consistent with Gal 1:1 "but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead)" (2 people there)
Eph 1:2 "from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ."
@GrZmNkY09@YeFutureSaint John 8:57 "Jews replied, “You aren’t fifty years old yet, and you’ve seen Abraham?" Thus the context was his age and how can he see Abraham. His reply was not a title to Moses' time. But that he was alive when Abram was. Before Abraham was, I have been is proper.
@GrZmNkY09@YeFutureSaint Don't you know why Jesus is called eternal Father? He becomes father of all mankind by being the Last Adam and replacing Adam. Does not mean he didn't have a beginning.
@GrZmNkY09@YeFutureSaint Jesus never called himself "I am". I am is not a title. It is an English sentence. Jesus did not speak English. Jesus did not quote from the Septuagint either.
"I am" does not mean eternal. If any connection, would be to Ex 3:2 where the angel of the Lord is speaking.
@BubbyAxelrod@OhThats_Good Seriously. Why are you people so stupid to where you will see something that indicates that Jesus is God and you grab onto it without think of context and other texts that disprove what you stated.
Seriously. Why do you do that?
@TeachingbridgeM@OhThats_Good John 1:1 is not trinity. It is just God and his son.
And John 1:1 is not Biblical. It is John's prologue to his biography. Those are the words of John, not the words of God or Jesus or anyone in the know on the subject.
