@markrwilliamson@greenarteries I used to live opposite the cage and took refreshments and chatted with the occupant in the small hours from time to time.
@BBCNews I believe this headline is missing the word “healthy”, the source data is about healthy life expectancy at birth (from PHE) and not overall life expectancy at birth. Can someone check? It makes a big difference to public policy.
@MillRoad4People For those that can, bike is still best to the more likely destination: the station. But if you drive, Mill Road bridge is the greenest route.
@Chisholm4Trail@markrwilliamson @luhc @DefraGovUK@EnvAgency To be fair, SUDS was in the local plan almost 20 years ago, albeit “where practicable”. I think it has just been made mandatory at national level but all recent new large developments around the airport appear to have incorporated storm ponds.
This week, we celebrate the memory & talent of Steve Wright from his time at Radio 210, following the news of his passing last week. With Many clips of Steve, some only just found. Plus memories from colleagues (many from 1981), & some music along the way. https://t.co/CweJkHD797
@rdlarter@JeffAndDonkeys @kevpluck A cheaper option would have been to get the tree(s) assessed for a TPO, they can be overturned but the process is more complex and you might have had a chance to object before they were destroyed. Sadly these trees were not protected.
@GreaterCambs@Ezy_Ryder Is the recent work between Horningsea and the A14 finished? Is the plan to put new light studs in to replace the ones that have been cut in half by the recent works? @camcycle
@Tom_Clarke@CambsPboroCA We can’t be sure which city they forgot about. Cambridge, where I live, is the upstart here with a recent royal charter and no cathedral. As someone born in Berkshire (0 cities not for want of trying) this is a sore point.
Your regular reminder that British public information films were like brutal horror films condensed into 30 second chunks, and shown during primetime (and children's) TV shows.
@nomadsoulful @woollyback56@tomhfh No, but the bottom part appears to be a building in Hong Kong https://t.co/RRuGnjERLb according to Google image search.
@noolivesthnx@athenakugblenu Well some women took the government to the high court (they lost but forced some soul searching at DWP reported by the Gov. Ombudsman). WASPI is still very much active and could do with supporters I’m sure https://t.co/UKjXcHT28P @WASPI_Campaign
@setoacnna @beealing The charity commission report (published after the ruling) does not do much to alter that impression to be honest https://t.co/SRl0CGidYF
@anthonypainter@ClareFKing @CamSci84 @GreaterCambs Ok, but a bit of a stretch from this graph to say “50% reduction in traffic” without qualification. The equivalent figure for the larger pm peak is less eye catching. I accept that given the params of the exercise and the model used the chosen option is a best fit.
