@JoelVinette@bk_belton@angryablib @Lindsay33581708 @NoGunsInCanada@sara_dillon@LauraBabcock I don’t want to reply because I fear my response will be harvested by some not or algorithm so that my name is added to some PP list to be converted, and then I have to put up with my account being inundated with nonsense.
@JerryTurin@jmbprime The NDP has much more power in coalition with the Liberals than as opposition to Conservatives. Mr. Singh allowed himself to be bullied by Poilievre out of getting some great things done together with the Liberals.
@BarackObama Trump wants to talk about the “exclusive club” he shares with Carter, which Carter himself would likely diminish the importance of, while Obama rightly puts the focus on the man’s outstanding personal characteristics as a great humanitarian.
@SudburyPolice College is a long road from Elm to Kathleen, as is Notre Dame in previous incidents. Police should give crossroads or they unnecessarily restrict three major thoroughfares at Elm, Frood and Kathleen. Avoiding the entirety of College, (or Notre Dame) is difficult and unwarranted.
@cturnbull1968 Only Trump would think to write about some “exclusive club” of ex-presidents, when Jimmy Carter’s legacy is not his work as a one-term American president, but as a person capable of mediating peace between sworn enemies and drawing people together in service to each other.
@Sam2978pt@cturnbull1968 His response to Jimmy Carter’s passing has not been to reflect on the decades of humanity, generosity and compassion shown by the ex-president, but to somehow tie his good work from 45 years ago to himself as “exclusive”. Instead, Jimmy was remarkable for his “inclusivity”.
@cturnbull1968 Still makes Jimmy Carter’s death about himself and his exclusive club he supposedly belongs to. Jimmy would have said that he himself is part of a much bigger club, humanity, and that’s what makes his passing a great loss. He wasn’t just a great president, he was a great person.
@JohnColeman1970@Patnv5@luvcaffeine I knew many more truckers that disagreed with the “truckers” than supported them. If the oil industry shuts down, all those jobs will be replaced by other renewable energy jobs. Farmers too have to let the carbon tax encourage changes to their equipments’ energy sources.
@JohnColeman1970@Patnv5@luvcaffeine You’re personalizing what are more truly issues with particular behaviour of a relatively select few of actual truckers, along with purported non-trucking supporters at a particular point in time. It wasn’t personal. Same with oil workers and farmers. It’s not the workers.
@luvcaffeine@dinadesveaux1 I disagree with the idea that twisting the Canadian Maple Leaf into a vulgar gesture is in any way good or appropriate. We should express ourselves withOUT resorting to the crude words of Emily Duggan or the representation of our national symbol giving the finger.
