Labeling #mancity a "cheat" before the legal route finishes is a binary trap designed to bypass due process and force conformity.

Piers is eliminating the democratic middle ground where supporting a fair defense and the rule of law isn't pro cheating.

Sky, Gary Neville & co mirror this, using their media bubble to force an artificial moral consensus on 36 million of the UK population who tune in to watch the Premier League.

In their rush for a public execution, these pundits completely dehumanise the hundreds of everyday, working-class staff employed by the club and whose livelihoods are caught in the crossfire.

This is an explicit abandonment of democratic principles by a media who are placing narrative over the rule of law.

The full regulatory pathway is far from over. An independent Appeal Board must review this, with the ultimate route to the High Court still open.

Seems to have been “forgotten” that every commercial deal with an associated party (a broad definition beyond related parties) has required formal fair market value assessment AND Premier League approval since December 2021.

Even before that, related party transactions were always permitted up to fair market value. ADUG could have taken every sponsorship property themselves for FMV. FMV was far in excess of the “Base Fees” found by the IC. We do not know the delta between the total recorded Sponsorship Amounts and FMV at this stage. But it will not total anywhere near £830m.

This doesn’t change the core findings of the IC in terms of sham agreements but does change the likely counter factual in compensation claims and may well be relevant in assessing calculations at appeal and sanction.

I am a Manchester City supporter. The case has hit me the same way it has hit every other fan. Rival supporters, especially those of the red cartel, have thrown constant abuse at me simply for backing the club. Our conscience has been questioned.

I want the case closed too so we can move on and enjoy football. I do not care if we have to start from underneath the earth. Until every legal step is finished and the matter reaches its logical end, I will stand with the club’s management. I will celebrate every win. I will reject every nonsensical bully.
