The ending of DUNKIRK (2017) is underrated. Tom Hardy’s Farrier choosing to stay in the fight even after knowing he doesn’t have enough fuel to make it home, then calmly setting his Spitfire on fire after landing, is one of Nolan’s most heroic moments.
