Glad to have met President William Ruto of Kenya.
India and Kenya share a longstanding partnership anchored in the aspirations of the Global South. We remain committed to working together for the well-being of our people.
@WilliamsRuto@G7
Yaani the impeached Sonko who used to drug and sodomise MCAs in Nairobi is someone to take seriously?
He will continue to run mad and it shows in how desperate he is to have convoys even when he has been impeached.
The statements from G7 leaders following the recent EU meeting are not merely abstract utterances. They translate into huge sustainability benefits for our country and our people. Europe sees Kenya as a reliable partner. The EU Kenya Economic Partnership Agreement that entered into force two years ago is already delivering real results.
To put it simply.. did any of those girls who were responsible for the deaths of 16 young lives have nose rings, wear make-up, untick their shirts? Yet these ridiculous parameters are what are enforced as discipline, views as 'good', belived to be what moulds well adjusted and productive adults. Such crap!
I dunno why Kenyan schools suppress the evolution and self discovery of adolescents. Prescribed hairstyles, rigid uniform rules. These are safe channels through which teenagers can express themselves. Experience a sense of autonomy. A harness one. That energy will express itself in one way or another.. including arson.
Let ppl go through the stages of life. Let kids have their own hairstyles. Conformity has no place in 2026. Let spirits express themselves.
Status quo is clearly not working.
If we are to accept that a 16 year old knows and fully understands what they are doing and the consequences thereafter, we must then accept that they can consent to sex. That is the riddle of law.
The hidden message is legacy building with an eye on national unity and future positioning. Inclusion strengthens security and cohesion rather than weakening it. Wajir is not the edge of Kenya. Wajir is Kenya. Ruto presents himself as the redeemer completing the unfulfilled promise of 1963 by correcting post independence betrayals. The vision is a productive competitive Kenya where every region contributes and benefits. Ambitious targets on dams education and livestock will test delivery but the rhetorical reframing of our national story is bold and unifying.
The speech is pretty well written. I noticed strong use of anaphora in lines like No community is peripheral. No child is too far away to deserve opportunity. No citizen is too distant to deserve dignity. There is effective metaphor portraying infrastructure as a bridge from exclusion to opportunity and education as the bridge between promise and possibility. Contrasts between past neglect and present investment plus parallelism create powerful rhythm and emotional depth throughout the address.
Just analysed Ruto's Madaraka Day speech delivered at Wajir Stadium on June 1 2026. For the first time in 63 years a national celebration was hosted in Northern Kenya. He declared boldly...This is Wajir County. This is Kenya. This is Bottom Up. This is what we meant when we said we would leave no one behind. The choice of venue itself was a powerful national statement of inclusion.. reframes the entire independence project as one that must now fully embrace all regions.
