#DFL-endorsed candidate for MN House of Representatives District #53B. #Woodbury resident. I promise to work for you, for a vital MN and for a promising future.
I’ve asked to be the bill’s sponsor in this '22 session. The issues are critical. Of special interest to #WoodburyMN are the issues of PFAS, rapid commercial and residential development, and the vulnerability of Valley Creek with headwaters in our city. #WaterIsLife
The legislature passed a Clean Water Protection Act in 1989. A group of scientists reviewed the Act this year and is suggesting new legislation, updating the Act with a more aggressive response to the challenges threatening our groundwater. #WoodburyMN#WaterIsLife
to introduce in January. The bill offers strong support for safety and educational programs while strengthening regulations regarding illegal possession and irresponsible ownership, sale and transfer. I’ll post a copy of the final draft of the bill when its ready.
I’ll introduce a new Firearms Safety Bill in the 2022 MN legislative session.
We haven’t passed a firearm safety bills while I’ve been in the House. But with the help of our non-partisan House Research Department, I’ve drafted a new “Firearm Safety and Education Bill”
I’ve joined Sen.Steve Cwodzinski as co-author of a bill that will require the State Senate to act on a governor’s nominated commissioners within 60 days of their appointment. “Common Sense,” you say. I think so, too. We’ll see how much common sense there is among the Republicans.
Both Congress and our State Legislature are stuck in partisan threats and bickering while important issues of our economy and public health are delayed. The U.S. Congress is mired in disputes over the debt ceiling, infrastructure programs, and personal animosities.
In St.Paul, the Governor is hesitant to call a special session of the legislature to deal aid for farmers and financial recognition for front-line workers because the Republican leaders of the State Senate continue to threaten dismissal of Jan Malcom, our commissioner of health.
Legislature’s committee still looking for agreement on front-line workers during COVID crisis.$250 million to distribute. Acknowledgement to variety of deserving recognition is a stumbling block. Constituent suggested "Utility workers,Essential service to all of us.”
Great idea!
Absolutely the best place to read, study and talk about labor history in Minnesota is the East Side Freedom Library. The collection and archive is in the wonderful Carnegie building, 1105 Greenbrier St, St. Paul. #LaborDay#Minnesota#UnionStrong
along with lots of others. Thanks very much to all who put the event together and especially to Cheryl Jogger and the Skoolie crew for their dedication and great contribution to the city and its families.
What a great evening! Thanks, Everyone!
Last night’s Skoolie Family Fun event at Royal Oaks Elementary was a chance to say hello to neighbors, great conversation, learning and fun--PLUS a great example of this community’s very best work and dedication to the well-being of others.
Cheryl Jogger was there with the Skoolie Bus; the Washington County public nurses brought their vaccination van; the police and fire were there talking and having fun with everyone; Jodi Ritacca of the @lwvwcg and the @wdbycommfdn, Simi Patnaik

the car were hospitalized. All parents and grandparents feel a portion of the pain when events like this one occur. Our children always seem vulnerable to us, and the sadness of this event will never be lonely.
There’s deep sadness for families and friends of the East Ridge students involved in an automobile accident over the weekend near Settlers Ridge Parkway in Woodbury. Few details are public yet, but we know that one of the passengers was killed and the other four individuals in
