Last summer a pine martin took gloves and knee pads from a wood shed (have it on video). Just found this one under a pallet which looks to be telling me something.

Interesting what you sometimes come across deep in the woods, in this case a tar bucket. And not a tarred road in sight! @ArkaigForest @WT_JessicaM @theclancameron
Cauliflower fungus - Sparassis crispa, not so common but found near Loch Arkaig today in a group of three. They’re also called Brain Fungus or Wood Cauliflower and they’re big! @ArkaigForest @theclancameron @MowiScotlandLtd @collbradan
At the weekend tree seed collection volunteers hiked out to Cam Dhoire (the crooked wood). A lot of birch seed was collected and thanks to all who made the hike along Glen Mallie. We can't wait to see these seeds grow into trees at our native tree nursery!
Rainbow near Loch Arkaig Pine Forest this evening. A bit of a dreich day but definitely worth it at the end. @ArkaigForest @WT_JessicaM @DAJCameron
