The Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, Louisiana, announced on Jan. 19 that Bishop Mario Dorsonville died that day from complications arising from recent health problems. We will certainly update this story. Bishop Dorsonville is in our heart and our prayers.

We now know that at least 14 Americans are among the hundreds who have been murdered in Israel. One of them was Deborah Matias, who was born in Boone County, Missouri. She and her husband, Shlomi, were shot protecting their 16-year-old son. That is barbaric, plain and simple.
