Alex Martinez
All-Conference 1st Team
Catcher

Alex has been a 4 year starter and the anchor of our team defensively. I’ve never seen a good team with a bad catcher. He is a huge reason we have had success. He is respected as a catcher and hitter by other teams. Thank you Alex!

I think there is great value in encouraging your first baseman to fight back to 1B to complete the 3-6-3 DP vs. passively defaulting to the P. Most 1B don’t work hard enuf to get back. This is especially important w/LHP’S, who because of their delivery, are often late covering.
