1) This from, Hannah Arendt, ' the origins of totalitarianism'
In an ever-changing, incomprehensible world the masses had reached the point where they would, at the same time, believe everything and nothing, think that everything was possible and that nothing was true.
Whatever happens next, I will always be grateful to the people who took their time in the last three months to talk to me about the issues that affect their lives.
Mid Bedfordshire is our home. If I am lucky enough to be your MP, I will not let you down.

Every Tory MP and candidate should watch this and start prepping now. How to run away, breaking all common traditions of decency. This is Sunak's morality in practice: sad men in dark suits running for their limo when the ppl of Britain tell them to eff off 👇🏽
Yesterday’s results show that voters across Mid Bedfordshire, Tamworth and Britain overwhelmingly want change.
Labour will deliver for working people, with a proper plan to rebuild our country.
Labour will give Britain its future back.
There's "astonishment" among Consevative MPs waking up to the stunning by-election results in Tamworth and Mid Beds, I'm told. Particularly over the latter, where they felt their candidate (Festus Akinbusoye) was strong. A bit of a smell-the-coffee moment for some of them.
Rishi Sunak's Covid fund paid nearly £2million into four startup companies linked to his wife, three of which later went into administration.
None of the investments have been publicly declared by Sunak in his register of interests.

Still reeling from this horrific evidence from Prof John Edmunds at the Covid Inquiry yesterday.
In refusing to lockdown in autumn 2020, Boris Johnson was responsible for up to 25,000 Covid deaths by ignoring the experts & evidence.
It’s sickening 😔
Hugo Keith, "Were you concerned about Eat Out To Help Out?"
Prof John Edmunds, "It made me angry and I'm still angry about it.. Yes, pub and restaurant sector needed support, I wasn't against that at all. They could just have given them the money. This was a scheme to encourage people to take an epidemiological risk as it only applied to dining in, and not take out" #CovidInquiry
The Education Secretary Gillian Keegan says the Tamworth and Mid Beds by-elections "did not show a swing to Labour".
They were two of the biggest swings to Labour ever seen in by-election history
Given he's been a cheerleader for the disaster that's the Conservative Party, so is Matt.
Maybe they should have banged on about small boats, immigration, the benefits of Brexit and what a great PM Boris Johnson was a bit more like Matt suggested?
These by-election results are seismic. Mid-Beds is a Tory heartland and Lab held off a Lib-Dem challenge (mounted as usual using polling disinfo) - biggest Tory loss since 1945 ... Tamworth also looked hard to do given voter alienation... what it means? 1/ Sunak needs to resign now ...
