@JoeyBid@RawStory My sense is mixed. All news outlets make mistakes; the good ones acknowledge and correct their mistakes. AP News, Reuters are very reliable. Personally I think The NY Times is very reliable and willing to correct its mistakes
@maggieNYT No one is above the law. Follow the evidence. If appropriate, bring criminal and/or civil charges. Preserve and protect democracy for all Americans ๐บ๐ธ
@ElectProject What is needed are Professors in other states to join you. Tenure has taken a serious blow in Georgia (10/13/21). A weakening of tenure is a weakening of academic freedom. This is nothing less than an attack on our democracy. Tyrants, like Trump, are standing at the gates.
@briebriejoy Country is a collection of people. I donโt want to see any particular race โsupremeโ and I strongly support addressing injustices, racial and others. Up and down, left and right, is a simplification that both distorts reality and polarizes individuals, and countries.
@TheRickyDavila Too often media outlets are focused on viewership, and consequently, stories presented in a manner to stir up emotions. Given the limitations of an equally divided senate. I think Joe has done the best anyone could. Itโs always easier to support a tax cut than a tax increase
@itsJeffTiedrich I think name calling only alienates people who disagree with you. I believe extreme positions will lead to more divisions. Most Americans are clustered somewhere around the middle. Do you call your friends names when they disagree with you or seem to hold irrational beliefs?
@AsteadWesley I consider myself an independent and usually vote for democrats. I find the rhetoric of cancel culture (ex white privilege, male privilege, etc) simplistic and alienating even though I believe I embrace principles of diversity, inclusion, equal opportunity and fairness.
@WollastonWntr63@prchovanec Look at positives, when there is a vaccine mandate only a small minority are willing to lose income to evade mandate. People (and politicians) often talk big, but backdown when there are direct consequences to them. Some Republicans will not vote for a Trump Republican again.
@WollastonWntr63@prchovanec The CIA has taken down dictators before; who is to say that wonโt happen here in US. Democracy prevailed on January 6๐บ๐ธ
@prchovanec The world has ups and downs. If democracy diminishes in USA, in time, it will rise again. Look at history, ex. Hitler in Germany, Mussolini in Italy, Franco in Spain. Probably many other examples. Not all Republicans are Trump Republicans. Be the change you seek.
What a terrible example when a large minority of Chicago police wonโt agree to getting vaccinated or at least reporting vaccination status. 500 police officers died due to Covid. We continue to need police reform to address renegade police officers.
