Trying to be my best spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically. Every day. Shaken, not stirred. John 3:16. Phil 4:6-7. Twitter ain’t real life, people.
@pastordwl The more I read His word, OT or NT, the more I want to know and understand. Each time I learn more and with that comes an increased level of discernment. God bless you!
As I look at our world today, especially here in America, I don’t recognize it because it has lost its identity in Christ. As I think about that, I think of when Job’s friends saw his condition and could no longer recognize him. It says they wept (Job 2:12).
When we see the world’s condition and how unrecognizable it is from what God created, we should, like Job, go into mourning, and then, like Job’s friends, weep over what we see.
Rivers of water should be running down our faces over the sin of our day and the condition of this world and of people’s lives.
In Jesus’s second beatitude, He said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)
When I think of this, I also think of the time when David and his men returned to the ruins of their city and the loss of their families and possessions. It says that David and his men wept until he had no more strength or tears left to cry (1 Samuel 30:4).
But David didn’t stop at weeping; instead, he acted, and God saw and responded.
“But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God … (AND) David inquired of the Lord, saying, ‘Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? And He answered him, ‘Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.’” (1 Samuel 30:6b, 8)
And so, let’s not only weep over this sin-filled, dominated world, but also inquire of the Lord and find out what He wants us to do to stem the tide.
Thank you, and remember that Paul said we are all in a race; therefore, “Run in such a way that you may win.” (1 Corinthians 9:24) Take care, and God bless.
@LucasSa56947288@jaydoll51 You’re late to the party bud regarding boycotting that network…they’ve been lying for decades. But Pelley was fired not because he spoke the truth, but because he couldn’t shit his mouth.
