@MDCounties just listened to the Conduit At Podcast about energy. Why not put solar panels on top of existing flat buildings with a lot of sun like schools and warehouses and industrial buildings? We can generate energy where it's used.
@MichaelCrush73 @KyleKulinski If that's true, he should be traveling by bus from Mar-a-Lago to do rallies in Georgia and North Carolina this week. This is crunch time, with just 61 days until the last day to vote. If he wants to win, he's gotta campaign in these key states.
@LarrySabato Learn from Lincoln. The VP must be someone who can carry out your policies and legacy if you pass in office.
Apart from that, Beshear seems like a great candidate to round out the ticket while also being capable of carrying out the legacy.
@hankgreen Cars generally are flawed because of the enormous weight and electricity per mile, the space they take up when not in use, and how they really drive low-density living and in general make life worse for everyone who uses a different mode of transportation
@hankgreen They inherit most of the issues with cars- drives low density, demand for free parking, ignoring pedestrian/cycling/subway/bus infrastructure, etc.
My response: if we want to get to net-zero, for most people they're going to want as little change in their lives as possible
@NormOrnstein There would be no enforcement mechanism that isn't impeachment though. So passing the code of ethics is pointless because if you don't have the votes to impeach and remove, there's nothing they could do to actually remove a sitting justice.
