@wesbutters Sadly, the BBC long ago lost sight of it's public service broadcasting remit Wes, and instead decided to chase ratings, despite not having the money to do so. The irony is, they managed both in the past. The Generation Game on BBC1 and The Ascent of Man on BBC 2. It worked.
