Day 140. The Better Business Bureau is a scam. There are bad actors at the top who need to be held accountable. The longer this goes, the worse the fallout will be.

BNY Holds A Special Place In My Heart—The Era Of Trust
(as posted on LinkedIn)
Hello and welcome to all of my new LinkedIn connections from @BNYglobal. I appreciate you taking the time to engage with me.
My late father retired from the Bank of New York after a distinguished career of 30 years. The bank played a significant role in my family's story. I grew up knowing it as an institution of integrity—an organization that prides itself on its rich history and lineage. And thus, BNY will always hold a special place in my heart.
BNY is America’s oldest bank, founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1784, and it has long been a symbol of stability, trust, and financial integrity.
But did you know it also holds another unique distinction?—BNY is the oldest founding member of the Better Business Bureau Serving Metropolitan New York, having joined in 1923.
BNY is America's oldest bank, and the Better Business Bureau is a 100 year-old not for profit organization whose mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust.
But I regret to inform you that the BBB is no longer living up to the ideals it was founded upon.
For over 130 days, I have been protesting loudly against the Better Business Bureau, and for over 130 days, they have been ignoring me. Businesses that are in violation of the BBB's accreditation standards are still being allowed to maintain their accreditation because they pay substantial amounts in annual membership dues. The BBB is no longer operating as an independent watchdog—it has become a pay-to-play model where revenue dictates accreditation decisions.
This cannot be allowed to continue.
To all of my BNY friends—your voices matter. Your leadership matters. If the BBB refuses to uphold the tenets of its own mission, then it is up to those who care about truth and integrity to demand answers.
As the oldest founding member of the @NewYorkBBB, and with a seat on the Board of Directors, BNY carries a profound responsibility to promote and uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and marketplace trust.
Will you join me by speaking up to defend the integrity of the BBB?
The BBB is a SCAM—A Lesson In Libel and Slander
For over 125 days I have been protesting loudly, and openly saying that the Better Business Bureau is a SCAM.
The BBB has an entire legal team tasked with protecting the brand, and yet they haven’t taken any legal action against me.
Why haven’t they sued me for libel and slander?
The Better Business Bureau can’t sue me for libel and slander—because I’m telling THE TRUTH.
At the same time, they won’t answer my question about Mutual of America because the answer implicates them; along with a widening circle of BBB CEOs, Board Members, and others, by way of their seemingly silent complicity.
So instead of suing me, or answering my question, the BBB has chosen to ignore me.
@MutualofAmerica’s accreditation was suspended and then quietly reinstated without explanation. MofA is in violation of multiple BBB standards but remains accredited because they pay a significant amount in annual membership dues.
Those are the facts.
This is the question:
Why was Mutual of America’s accreditation initially suspended and then quietly reinstated?
BBB CEOs where are you?
