@restlesspix @adamschoales 2/2 Went opposite direction but never got around to testing this exact scenario
Start in Resolve, ensure Reel / Tape names were set. Two sets of proxies: ProRes (FCP) + Op-Atom (Avid). Ingest & sync in Avid. Cut in Avid. Picture AAF to Resolve. FCPXML to FCP. Worked for picture
@restlesspix @adamschoales 1/2 Yeah I see this question come up from time to time. IMO it’s best to set the expectation with the client that it’s not doable
You can attempt to create a path but there will be losses along the way because none of the apps invest resources in migrations that lose business
Yes @RedSharkNews
• Satellite TC
• Gyroscopic information
• Menus that don’t make me groan
Or maybe
• Integrating metadata from the slate
• Rethinking how script supes interact with media or author notes
How about an ecosystem

I think the language of this patent and RED’s behavior surrounding it is bad for the industry, bad for the democratization of film, and anti-competitive.
“REDs patent entitled ‘VIDEO CAMERA,’ is set to expire on 11/04/2028.”
Can’t wait.

@stooovie Backup first. But until there is a fix you can export an XML of the sequence and reimport it. The new copy of the sequence you get will come with new multicam clips relevant to that sequence. You can trash the old ones and proceed with the new ones and the new sequence.
While I consider this a work account I think it still matters to publicly condemn overturning Roe v Wade.
It may only be a draft at this time, but among so many other reasons the United States should not be in the business of sentencing a person to parenthood.
@goincase Any plans to make a sleeve that actually fits the 14” M1 MacBook Pro? Bought the recommended “Classic Universal Sleeve for 13-inch & 14-inch” and it was pretty loose.
@produceNewMedia@RippleTraining@stalman Yeah this is still spot on. It was mono files in my case. Outputs were playing -6db lower than what was represented in the timeline.
I had to complete this in Resolve instead to get the result I needed for the deliverable.
@produceNewMedia@RippleTraining@stalman I just ran into an issue sprouting from Pan Law in FCP this past week. I do wish the option was available as it is in Logic. Or maybe if I could create a sequence that was mono.
#TurningRed was great. Happy to see something that isn’t using the exact same Disney/Pixar design and animation languages on a production of this scale for once.
Looking at you Tangled, Frozen, and Encanto 👀
Congrats to Domee & crew!
