@AmedeoGrassia98 Or you draft properly and don’t reach on Nesbitt and Luchanko. Don’t publicly smear a potential superstar. Don’t hand out long term extensions like candy to role players. Don’t hire a coach that wants to win every game 1-0. Don’t fall in love with above average forwards. Etc, etc
This has been my point. Everyone knows Leo is better, but Fantilli hasn't really been the player people expected quite yet while still showing enough to warrant a big risk. Id throw 6×14 at him front loaded and make them match or trade
@ADiMarco25 I might be Leo's biggest fan, but is there possibly more logic to targeting Fantilli?
Because Fantilli hasn't really broken out quite yet, there's conceivably a number Columbus wouldn't match significantly lower than the number ANA would match for Leo lol.
@SuitableAlias Hes literally the best bet we have to aquire a 1C, realistically. I also think his flaws are ironically Michkovs strengths and visa verse. Big, fast, transition threat with Michkov's blue line in genius would be insane. Martone - Fantilli - Michkov would feed families
Just a few days ago, Brent Flahr basically admitted that the draft got away from them.
Today, Danny Briere tells fans that the team will most likely take a step back next season.
Seeeesh.
Did anyone catch that Briere didn’t mention Michkov when talking about the power player, but mentioned Porter, Foerster, Bump, and Grebenkin…. Dude is a sham…
We didn't trade Risto for fear that doing so would create a step back.
And Briere just admitted there's a "good chance we take a step back" anyway.
Amazing.
No notes.
“There’s a chance, and a good chance that we take a little bit of a step back this year and we are ready for that, but I’m excited where this young group of guys are going.”
Don’t love the first part of that comment
Last year I heard moving goal posts all season for Michkov's ice time. The next version is for a meaningful trade or upgrade. That will be moved to next year
I think there’s a reality end of the year that if the Flyers heavily regress they fire Tocchet Briere and Flahr.
Would have to be like under an 80 point team tho to happen.
But this offseason thus far is unacceptable
A lot of Flyers media and podcast people said if the flyers dont make that big move at the draft or free agency, it would be time to worry and criticize. Ill be listening and watching
@justinghockey Literally need to pitch that having Foerester and York is a more valuable proposition than just Knies. That may be true but I don't think they will win the argument
