A TV adaptation doesn’t have to fully track with its source books.
As many haters there are, there are also quite a few apologists, those who will default to the show do no wrong.
This E8 was mixed, like the season itself.

As a matter of fact, for a while there back in the day, Toby’s Spiderman 2 was my fav Sup movie of all time.
Amazing was the best kickoff of the group…so much heart.
And #SpidermanNoWayHome was movie perfection…no other way to describe it…

The gen audience won’t have read the books, nor will they be aware of (or care about) the 👍🏻X-ray content, which are really just icing on cake for us readers. Not only shouldn’t they have to read or X-ray, they wouldn’t anyway. Thus, heavy lift is on the show
