@bnthompson I recall analysing partner billable hours and tests in a specialised health practice once. Large variances despite a similar patient basis. No critique on whether the doctors who ordered more tests and spent more time with patients actually impacted their health outcomes.
@bnthompson Something like publish objective data and provide transparency into outcomes across practitioners. A lot of output in that field seems to be measured as volume billed, often to public health systems.
@jasonlk@HarryStebbings This also seems short sighted. Assuming a product is fairly priced, there will still be a test of what features eg SF built that customers really wanted vs what features were just filling up the roadmap. And “the guy that built it” is just a future iteration of AI.
@bnthompson@AlboMP Also no comprehension of synthetic data. The announcement was the codification of public hysteria rather than anything practical or innovative.
@chamath@PeterDiamandis Interesting but doesn’t explicitly prove the opposition is due to energy concerns. What’s the pitch on average jobs once this R&D phase is over?
Man I really could do with a comeback episode of Code Coverage @LaceySnr Salesforce sounds like they’re about 17 safe harbour statements deep atm which would be gold for the pod!
@TheChiefNerd@elonmusk It’s so obvious Scott is jealous because he can’t do deals as big as Elon, and Kara is bitter because Elon doesn’t respect her voice as a tech journalist or return her calls. Pivot is easily the most hate-listenable podcast out there. Impossible not to get hooked.
@realEstateTrent Worked in that area. Been following you for a while. Always thought your cap rates sounded v low. Big mall devs create a 20 yr CF Fcast, apply their WACC, and infer IRR. Value implied by cap rate and DCF should be same w market assumptions; so the answer is maths stacks it up…
