Wonderful time organising @fuse_online collab workshop to identify priorities for improving health in people experiencing severe and multiple disadvantage.
Amazing team work & support from @AdamsEmmaAudrey@StevenThirkle, my supervisor Prof Sheena Ramsay &the Fuse team!
We live in Britain in 2024, there should not be a mad rush at 8am in order to speak to a doctor.
It's just ludicrous how this has not been resolved, across all surgeries yet.
How many don't even bother, knowing the hassle?
It is absolutely amazing that this is still going on.
I transitioned in 1975 age 19.
Everyone, incl. my parents saw me become a person who could laugh
They saw me earn 4 degrees, be honoured with 2 more, made the Law Society/Liberty Lawyer of the year, given an OBE, marry my partner of 46yrs & raise 4 lovely public servants
Trauma doesn't make people stronger. It damages their nervous system. It hijacks their digestive track. It keeps the person in a constant loop of hypervigilance. To tell someone they are stronger because of trauma is to deny what it has cost them to survive.

New campaign launched today to persuade next Government to commit to reducing health inequalities. New data reinforces the public care about the nation's health. Sign petition at https://t.co/4ppRA24t4H to encourage parliamentary candidates to promote health equity.
After months of planning, the feedback from the @AWCAcademics conference is great 🙏 Co-organising this academic event in Scotland was, for me, done for personal reasons: after being told to leave school as a #workingclass kid of 15 - "because you're not going to pass anything."
Eeee I give up.
Reviewer 1, three things will make this paper ready for publication. Proceeds to give me sound advice to improve my paper with I agree with.
Reviewer 2, this is without doubt the worst paper I have ever layed eyes 👀 on.

Delighted to hear Labour are considering creating a cross department taskforce, led by @AngelaRayner, to end homelessness, as outlined in our manifesto.
We're looking forward to more announcements from all parties over the coming days to create a society with #AHomeForEveryone
@fuse_online@AdamsEmmaAudrey Delighted to have been part of the research team on one of these impactful projects! Sheena Ramsay, @AdamsEmmaAudrey & colleagues have brilliantly engaged stakeholders to develop solutions for people experiencing homelessness in NE England. Excited to share results! #homelessness
Great double act from Sheena and @AdamsEmmaAudrey at #FuseConf24. Really important work involving some of the most marginalised and vulnerable populations.
