Ya’ll @teeswanjr & I have our JOINT BIRTHDAY WEEKEND coming up and we cannot think of a better way to spend it than hosting a canvass w/ @stonewalldems51 to elect @Janeese4DC as our next Mayor! Free pancakes and post canvassing mimosas! RSVP: https://t.co/QdxoP95cFp
@RiniSampath Abhorrent. The only reason dozens of officers need to point guns on a single woman feet with a bat is silence + intimidation. This could have been easily deescalated but the Feds rely on fear to instill power just as the Nazis did. Scary to watch the degradation of US democracy
Yesterday, @GCAARNow began distributing materials to DC voters claiming that our Council along with @IAFF36 and DC Nurses endorsed @kenyanmcduffie. This claim is patently false.
Not only did we NOT endorse McDuffie, not a single union has endorsed him. Our statement:
Mad about Christian nationalist festival on the mall?
Join the @FFReligion, @FaithfulAmerica, + the @seculardotorg, and Goldie — a 20 ft tall golden calf with a Trump haircut — from 11-1pm today! Location: 3rd St between Jefferson and Madison NW.
When you vote in the DC primary, at the end of your ballot, vote for the Free DC Slate!
We're a diverse group of nearly 50 Washingtonians from all eight wards, united by the belief that our local DC Democratic Party should be working as hard for DC as we do.
@DCHomos Thanks! Yes, our initial post did not provide enough clarity. Miguel did come in first after multiple rounds of voting but that did not meet our 60% threshold for endorsement. We apologize for the confusion!
@dcshittalker I am more than happy to answer any questions about our process and we’ll be publishing full round by round tabulations for all the races where Stonewall Dems voted to endorse. We mean to provide full transparency and clarity - sorry we missed the initial mark on this one!
@dcshittalker Hi there! I’m not great at Twitter, but want to own as President of Stonewall that our initial social media post did not provide enough clarity. We’ve connected with Miguel and this was an honest mistake. We’ve now posted full round by round totals on instagram to clear this up!
@dcshittalker Miguel reached out directly before his post but I am out of country 12 hours ahead and couldn’t respond in time to his ?s. He’s since removed this post and also shared a new, clarifying post! I want to sincerely apologize for any confusion stonewall caused with our initial post!
I’m asking for your vote and donation. If you live in Ward 2, vote June 16 and donate today. If you don’t, donate and send this to a friend in DC. People power closes the gap and will elect a new generation of Democrats in our city.

I’m running for Ward 2 Committeeman to the DC Democratic Party on the Free DC slate.
The folks who’ve held these seats for years have the donor lists and establishment connections. We have the people and the organizing.
Time to level the playing field. 🧵https://t.co/FwDkQiSD4L
That’s why I’m running. Our DC Democratic Party should fight for Democratic voters, not just the Democrats sitting in the Wilson Building working for Council or the Executive. Time for new fighters in those seats who’ve worked in their communities, not just the halls of power.
@ANCJonah@CMBrookePinto It’s much more fun to devise catchy names for omnibus bills so you can draft press releases and go on Fox 5 than it is to ensure the programs included are funded and well implemented with proper oversight. And good luck with obtaining any data, research, or program benchmarks.
I’m excited to join my fellow @DCYDs this Saturday for some fellowship, fish, and conversations with candidates and organizers. It’s thrilling to see the excitement among all Dem candidates this cycle! DC’s next generation of leadership is here and now! 🗳️ https://t.co/Tt8IN4pSLy
Join us next week for our ANC meeting! Lots to discuss and continue working towards more delivery of services to our neighborhood. https://t.co/tRaqy9CFNg
I yearn for the day when we can access, review, and publish data like this regularly for public instead of living in a FOIA hellscape between agencies, council, and EOM. What would be even better is for leaders to share proactively instead of relying on annual oversight hearings.
