As an aside much of the back ground animations were composed with @grok and @runwayml
@RockChartrand The great thing about this is that Massachusetts used be a center of wealth creation and progress. It is people like Warren that killed that engine.
70 years ago Massachusetts was high tech hub of wealth creation sprouting hundreds of large firms. Today it is a business backwater largely because of bitter upper middle class academics like @SenWarren
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire.
The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth.
We need a wealth tax.
@altcap@elonmusk@Tesla@SpaceX It is time we stop pretending these are good faith actors @altcap. The people that are building and creating need to violently rip away the microphone from the demagogues and assert their status and vision without apology.
The best part about @SpaceX is it isn't yet another case of coders figuring out a way to make people look at ads.
It's digging ditches and pouring concrete, it's designing valves and electronics, it's welding and blowing things up. It is humanity pushing against the restraints of the universe across a whole stack of varied disciplines at once.
@Jason@Apple The sad thing is @Apple has an extreme advantage in local AI purely by conicidence that their unified architecture is ideal. That has been apparent for awhile but wafer space is precious and they won’t sacrifice 20 million Iphones to sell 5 million more macs.
@reddit_lies GPU's do not become obsolete, they become costlier to run than the newer more efficient hardware. That only matters if you are paying to power and cool them which SpaceX will not be. They could run them profitably for 20 years once they are up there.
The total cap of US markets is 75 trillion. SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic are large absolute raises of capital historically speaking, but relative to the current size of the market it's only a few percent. If all three failed it's not an apocalypse.
@RupertLowe10 Not vetted, not managed after being let in. If they truly cared about these migrant populations, if that was the real impetus behind these waves, then they would ruthlessly exclude anyone whose behavior would put the project at risk.
@JohnCleese They were not elected to socially engineer multicultural acceptence and lecture the public. They were elected to protect against threats both Foreign and Domestic with competent public adminstration.
@TheNotoriousMMA If they cared that much about these immigrants they would vette out people with behavioral problems and extremists, they would manage them closely once here.
Instead they send them to economically distressed areas and force the poor and working class to manage them.
