@MikeWingerii So trump associates with Paula White and Paula is to blame? It would definitely have been better for you to stay silent on this matter than to come to trump’s defense.
@WesleyLHuff I was having this discussion with someone recently and it really just seems as though God spoke to people in the language that they would have understood at the point in time. My only question is then, when he revealed his name, can it only be pronounced in Hebrew?
@jblackpost@WesleyLHuff Isn’t hell part of sound doctrine? What are we being saved from? Burning temporarily certainly isn’t as bad as burning eternally. The outcome of the unsaved is part of our doctrine. That’s who Christ came and died for. The should know exactly what they are being saved from.
@jblackpost@WesleyLHuff Christians can disagree on something without it affecting sound doctrine. E.g pre-trib and post-trib doesn’t affect the doctrine of the outcome of our souls.
Annihilationism tells you that your pain will be temporary and not eternal. One is bearable, the other isn’t.
@jblackpost@WesleyLHuff Orthodox is what we know to be commonly practiced by the early church.
Also that’s why I specified a subset of our doctrine. Orthodox Christians teach salvation through Christ. Basic. It’s weird because it’s an hyper fixation on an unorthodox belief.
@jblackpost@WesleyLHuff I used this definition. Wouldn’t this make it heretical? And even outside of that, it’s weird that they have an entire organization dedicated to redefining hell. When have Christians ever had to create an entire organization to oppose a subset of Christian doctrine?
@jblackpost@WesleyLHuff Well 1500s is a bit later from the earlier church but at least they rejected Annihilation. Would you call it heretical? @jblackpost
@WesleyLHuff Why isn’t this belief a heresy? Is it that we’re not certain that ECT is what the early church thought? If we know that the early church believed in the trinity and called anything else heretical, shouldn’t we do the same with this?
@BenDoverTrading@MikeWingerii I agree. I haven’t looked at the episode as yet but I highly doubt she means anybody who disagrees with her. @MikeWingerii did you watch the entire clip?
And if you're wondering why we celebrate on Dec. 24th?No, it's not in the Bible (no one is seriously claiming it is) but that doesn't mean there isn't historical precedence to do so. I bet you're viewing this on your phone and you wont find smart phones in the Bible either. But both smart phones and celebrating the in-breaking of God into His creation during the incarnation, can be used for God's glory.
@MikeWingerii I think it’s a strategy by the devil to deter people from God. A person will see a false prophet be wrong and say that Christianity may be false. For him his work is complete. We just have to keep exposing the lies.
@brandonedwards@MikeWingerii I think Mike is just a bit emotional. I thought it was strange but didn’t think it with certainty. But given that it was @DrFrankTurek any reasonable person would throw out the idea. He did look like a secret agent though!
