@Rich_Cooke1 The use of the union flag by "one half" of Glasgow is so deep rooted into the sectarian issue. It will take a lot of work (possibly decades) to recover its use as a national flag. Think of the "far right" use of the St Georges flag and multiply it by 1000's.

At least 20 people turned up between 12pm and 1pm and had to go home and empty all of the rubbish that they had put in there.

NPCC have just published data from their LARGEST integrity screening project.

Away from the predictably selective, axe-grinding reports elsewhere, here’s the simple, full factual picture from the data:

📊 Over 307,000 officers, staff, volunteers screened

✅ Of which, 99.85% showed ‘NO CONCERN’ (not even need for disciplinary or vetting review)

❗️Of the 461 ‘concern’ cases, just 9 (5 officers, 4 staff), or 0.003% of everyone, amounted to criminal investigation trigger. 3 of these related to sexual offences (1 officer, 2 staff)

👮‍♀️For officers, 99.87% had no concerns raised. Staff 99.83%, volunteers 99.85%

🏙️ Met police officers: 99.77% no concern

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Police Scotland 99.98%

✅ PSNI 99.99%

🌇 West Mids 99.75%

✅ GMP 99.99%

✅ W.Yorks 99.97%

✅ Several forces (e.g. Devon & Cornwall) have a PERFECT 100%!

The police are the public etc, but are clearly (and rightly) held at a higher professional standard to uphold law. E.g. What do you think the %s might be running 307,000 people from other professions through the same screening? Where else would you get 99.8%+? Those who make the laws?
