@les93630@AMTAteachers@AAPTHQ@Bootstrapworld Yes! If you have not taken a Modeling Instruction workshop with @AMTAteachers, you should take a look! A big part of Modeling is getting students to use multiple representations (mathematical and conceptual) instead of just using a math equation.
As I finish up my 2.5 weeks at ASU with the Computational Modeling Physics workshop, I needed digest everything I’ve learned (it’s a lot). Chemistry is my first love but I guess physics is cool too! Thanks @AMTAteachers, @AAPTHQ and @Bootstrapworld#modphys#pyret
@mrssmithfjhs@AMTAteachers@AAPTHQ@Bootstrapworld My thought process was a mix of “what activities did we do this unit/what did we do with the data?” and “what are all the different ways we learned to represent physical phenomena?”
@ScienceSprout@AMTAteachers@AAPTHQ@Bootstrapworld I picked up physical science a couple years ago. It has been a learning experience but the physics half gets better every year! It was great to do a workshop aimed at freshmen and the coding piece is super cool!
If you are thinking about applying for the @AACTconnect science coaches program, do it! If you need convincing, check out the awesome activity my coach @Greentc92 and I got to create!
@insanephysics74 Yes but I don't give IMFs a name at this point. We just talk about how there are different strengths of attractions and how that affects physical properties.
@eposthuma I do a "Can you Make Chalk" practicum for predicting products. The kids always have fun writing with their chalk on the lab benches after they figure out how to make it!
