He can def get a raw tag in this scenario with them covered

Normals that wouldn’t reach on confirms are opened up as the hurtbox is being shoved to you compared to away. Etc etc etc. it is just always a better option if you can push hurtbox to you vs away.

People just like to think so surface level with things. Think bigger pictures.

The amount of people in my mentions that don’t understand there is a fundamental difference of an assist pushing an opponent into you vs away is crazy.

Yall clearly never played a puppet character and it’s ok.

Left right is not the end all be all, but pushing a char opens that.

When a character is hit from behind, the character in front does not need to run forward with attempts from push back. You have more chances, less reaction gaps etc.

If you have an aerial option this is now opened as the opponent is being pushed under you for left rights.

@Z166yy Without going into the nuances of these things, there is a big difference in pushback etc interactions from behind an opponent and in front. It is not a bb tag instant left right scenario. It is simply a scenario that will be used. As you pointed out, some will be more useful.

@joshmillerzzz Yes for sure. They thought of that left right portion. The forced interaction of assist behind you in lockdown (will be more then just this thing) with other char command high low normals / grabs etc will be a future repercussion though that you have to accept

Not to mention movement chars.

The command normal high low chars will be fine, people get hit by 20 plus frame overheads

Once you start using the hulk assist and lock down situations that in combination with things etc

@Mikeand1keFGC I was at Evo playing the Japan players who used Gordeau invincible active DP that moved forward the whole screen for 20 frames swapping to the other char to overhead low between hits back and forth…. It is the worst mechanic ever made in fgs.

But I don’t need to to see how a game will pan out, what is cheap and strong. What characters are playing a diff game then the rest etc. I can look at things w no bias objectively I’m not invested. It’s just outliers and data.
