Finally, some were asking how much ICU pressure from COVID was down to the unvaccinated.
They made up 61% of ICU admissions in December. A pretty significant share for a group who - in that critical 60-69 age-group - made up only 4% of the population.

@BlackEyedPurple@adambrown93 @DominiqueTaegon @IainDale INARC have all that data, plus all the other data out there that proves the points of the majority of health experts on how vaccination is the way forward out of the pandemic. But I don’t think you would believe it even if the patients were right in front of you.
@FrankieEAGB @DominiqueTaegon @IainDale You do see on the graph, per 100,000 he amount that are vaccinated vs in vaxed that are hospitalised right? If not there is no helping you.
@RobLaverick92@Ch90t1 @DominiqueTaegon @IainDale In a pandemic, when you are more at risk of ICU if unvaccinated, I would say it is definitely worth a big discussion. And what the original tweet says, is it’s strange people won’t take a recommended vaccine but would take all the medications with horrendous side effects in icu
@Ch90t1@RobLaverick92 @DominiqueTaegon @IainDale You do know mRNA have been studied and worked with for decades.
So many harsh drugs with horrible side effects are given to you for benefit when you are unwell in critical care. But the vaccine-sceptic will take them all. Very strange.
@BlackEyedPurple@adambrown93 @DominiqueTaegon @IainDale Ok. I’ll disbelieve my medical education, what my own eyes have seen in icu over the last 2yrs, and what the the majority of healthcare experts in the world say.
@adambrown93 @DominiqueTaegon @IainDale Critically Ill patients are given a cocktail of medicines with multiple side effects. But the benefits are weighed up by the experts. Vaccine -sceptics getting treated with multiple & multiple medications in ICU is interesting.
@RobLaverick92@Ch90t1 @DominiqueTaegon @IainDale So many drugs that are given in medicine have long term side effects. Many have very serious side effects. They are given by experts balancing the risk. Some are given not for what they were trialed for but because they may have shown ‘some’ benefit to some patients.
@Ch90t1 @DominiqueTaegon @IainDale So many therapies/drugs have been given that have been tested less/trialed in what they are being given for. But they are given by experts in the field that weigh up the benefits.
