@TylerG392805 @toyou1994 @DAKKADAKKA1 Using a PCB+firmware has benefits, even if companies can charge you more for repair. They have a reason to exist (i.e. reliable digital temps for baking), and programming ICs is easier than designing analog.

What they don't all need is an app+wifi connection. Fight that instead.
